Somehow, improbably, Sarah turned 14 on Saturday.  She celebrated with dinner at Aroi (Rhinebeck’s Thai restaurant) with the Lawson twins, followed by a movie and a sleepover.  Jen made a mint chocolate chip ice cream cake for the occasion. Earlier on Saturday, Daisy and Ringo surmounted Burger Hill and mauled each other.

We had three or four inches of snow on Saturday — just enough to justify a blazing fire. Daisy doesn’t mind the snow a bit.

Today we visited the NYS Sheep & Wool Family Fun Festival at the Dutchess County Fairgrounds.  It is knitting ladies’ nirvana. Daisy enjoyed one of the few hours of sunlight we had this weekend. While Jen was in Boston, Sarah and I made pizza and watched To Catch a Thief.  Also, over the weekend, Sarah more or less learned to play the ukulele.
